ONTARIO PLAYS MAJOR ROLE IN FORD'S MOST ADVANCED ASSEMBLY PLANT
Two New Cars to Roll Out of Revamped Oakville Assembly Complex (OAKVILLE) Economic Development and Trade Minister Sandra Pupatello joined in celebrations at Ford's Oakville Assembly Complex where the Ford Edge, and Lincoln MKX crossover utility vehicles will be produced at what is now one of the most innovative flex assembly facilities in North America. The Ontario government contributed $100 million toward the (CDN) $1 billion dollar "Centennial Project." This was the first investment under the Ontario Automotive Investment Strategy (OAIS), helping to secure new product lines, and jobs at the Oakville Assembly Complex. "This is an investment in Ford's future, our economy, and our workers," Pupatello said. "We're pleased to partner with the company in helping this plant lead the way in Ford's turnaround." To date, the government's strategy has attracted more than (CDN) $7 billion in new auto investments, including:

like this one at Ford which help to keep our auto industry strong and
competitive."
